Whenever you’re working on a new project, one of the most important factors is the tools and resources you’ve access to.
Best resources ensure you’ve got the best required support to make your project a success story.
Same is absolutely true for Blogging.
Let me tell you how:
Best tools and resources help you:
- Track and analyze your website visitors
- Understand your audience
- Create and curate content to cater the needs of those reading your blog
- Put the boring stuff on auto-pilot, and…
- Enjoy your personal life, as your blog continues to grow
But, to ensure all of this happens, You have to have the best tools and resources.
On this site, we use more than 30 tools (free + paid).
And it’s because of them we’ve been able to grow so much since we started.
Some of the links on this page are affiliate links. I’d get a small commission if you sign-up/buy via these link with no extra cost for you. If you don’t want me to get the money, you can directly visit the website and buy. I’d still recommend them. It helps me to keep this blog running up.
When you start a website, it needs space, for the data to reside somewhere. A hosting service provider provides you with the required space. To get started, BlueHost is the best and highly recommended by me as well as some of the top bloggers. They provide great service at a highly reasonable price.
StudioPress is a marketplace for incredibly fast, extremely beautiful themes. Good design and fast loading web pages play an important role in User experience and SEO. If you wish to pursue blogging seriously, it is highly recommended you make a one-time investment in getting a good theme. We use the Genesis framework + SPI theme; which cost us a total of just $99. And every penny has been worth it.
Email Marketing is an integral part of growing a blog from scratch to multiple thousand visitors a month. To make the process clean and extremely simple, you need a software; to store all your data and automate email campaigns. MailChimp caters to exactly that. You can get started for free, and continue to do so, until you reach 2000 subscribers.
SumoMe is a suite of some incredible powerful free tools to help boost your email list and get more traffic to your website. I’ve personally been using SumoMe for a long time; in fact, I added 687 subscribers to my blog in a month using these tools. And guess what? You get all the tools for FREE. You can upgrade to PRO version, anytime later.
Best software to create graphics and designs even if you’re not a blogger. You see all those featured images, here, on GrowingMetrics? We’ve designed all those on Canva, without even investing a penny. Facebook post, Twitter update, Instagram post, flyers, newspaper ads; you just name it, Canva has pre-built templates for all these and a lot more. Paid graphics are priced at $1 to incorporate in your design… or upgrading to pro gives a whole new bunch of options.
As I’ve said, these are just the tools to get started with, the basic necessity. But, there are tons more. I’ve covered more than 100 tools, I’ve found to be the best after lots of researching and trying. You can check them out here: 100+ Blogging Tools and Resources to Help you Work Faster in 2017
